Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the processing of data on this website is:

Ozan Caglayan – CGN-Games
Elisenstr. 24
46147 Oberhausen
Germany
Email: info@cgn-games.de

No data protection officer has been appointed, because the legal requirements for a mandatory appointment (Section 38 BDSG, Art. 37 GDPR) are not met. The contact for all data protection matters is the controller named above.

2. What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and no analytics, and embeds no third-party content (no external fonts, videos, maps or social media plugins). All fonts and images are served from our own server. That is why there is no cookie banner.

The only exception: if you switch between the light and dark design using the toggle in the header, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage (localStorage). Only the word “light” or “dark” is stored, nothing is sent to us, and you can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings.

Our app Chips & Crowns has a separate privacy policy.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website runs on a server we rent from IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, in a data centre in the European Union. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS.

When you visit the website, the web server (nginx) automatically records in log files:

  • the IP address of your device,
  • date and time of the request,
  • the page or file requested and the status code,
  • the amount of data transferred,
  • the page you came from (referrer), if your browser sends it,
  • browser type and operating system (user agent).

We need this data to run the website securely and reliably, to detect attacks and to fix errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are deleted automatically after 14 days; only if an incident has to be investigated do we keep the affected entries until it is resolved. The data is not combined with other data.

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS (https).

4. Contact by email

If you email us at info@cgn-games.de, we process your email address, the content of your message and the details you give us in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a contract or purchase is concerned, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the message as soon as your request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise. Our mailbox is also hosted by IONOS SE (see section 3).

5. No sharing

We do not pass your data on to third parties, except to the hosting provider named above as our processor, or where we are legally obliged to. We do not transfer data to third countries.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). To exercise these rights, contact us at the address above or at info@cgn-games.de.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

7. Changes

We update this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
